As a Medical Biller / Coder, you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery. You will partner with the Director of Nursing and Executive Director to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment for our residents.
Requirements:
- Medical Billing/Coding Experience (preferred)
- COVID –19 Vaccination / approved exemption status
Duties:
- Performing initial administrative functions of billing including patient assignment, medical clearance, and determining whether charges are within limits and are related to service provided.
- Performing initial research on behalf of clients to determine whether charges are within limits and are related to service provided.
- Maintaining records of charges and payments in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations regarding billing procedures, patient financial information, and medical coding.
- Assistance in providing coverage for medical referrals and visits conducted by external professionals.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations regarding billing procedures, patient financial information, and medical coding.
- Assistance in conducting audits of medical records to ensure accuracy.
- Works as a member of a team to provide quality services to the clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
