Compliance Officer / Assistant Administrator – Home Healthcare

Job Summary
AmeriCare Home Health is seeking a Compliance Officer / Assistant Administrator to support both compliance oversight and daily administrative operations. This dual-role position ensures the agency remains compliant with Medicaid, HIPAA, Medicare, and state regulations, while also assisting leadership with administrative tasks that keep the organization running smoothly.
The ideal candidate will have prior home healthcare compliance experience and strong administrative and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Oversight
- Develop, implement, and manage compliance programs specific to home health and Medicaid requirements.
- Conduct audits of caregiver documentation, patient care logs, and employee files to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Track and manage document expirations (licenses, TB tests, CPR, background checks, etc.).
- Prepare for and support state inspections, Medicaid audits, and accreditation surveys.
- Provide training to staff on compliance, HIPAA, and documentation standards.
- Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and ensure the agency is always audit-ready.
Assistant Administrator Support
- Assist the Administrator in daily operations and coordination of office functions.
- Support scheduling, HR, and caregiver onboarding to ensure compliance from the start.
- Help manage communications with caregivers, case managers, and referral partners.
- Prepare and organize management reports, compliance updates, and performance metrics.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Must have prior home healthcare compliance experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven knowledge of Medicaid compliance, HIPAA regulations, and state home health standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task between compliance oversight and administrative duties.
- Proficiency with EMR systems (WellSky preferred).
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Healthcare Compliance Certification (CHC) or related credential is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
