As a Medical Biller / Coder, you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery. You will partner with the Director of Nursing and Executive Director to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment for our residents.

Requirements:

Medical Billing/Coding Experience (preferred)
COVID –19 Vaccination / approved exemption status

Duties:

Performing initial administrative functions of billing including patient assignment, medical clearance, and determining whether charges are within limits and are related to service provided.
Performing initial research on behalf of clients to determine whether charges are within limits and are related to service provided.
Maintaining records of charges and payments in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations regarding billing procedures, patient financial information, and medical coding.
Assistance in providing coverage for medical referrals and visits conducted by external professionals.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations regarding billing procedures, patient financial information, and medical coding.
Assistance in conducting audits of medical records to ensure accuracy.
Works as a member of a team to provide quality services to the clients.
Other duties as assigned.
