Job Summary
The Patient Account Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and supporting the financial aspects of patient accounts within a health care setting. The Patient Account Specialist will ensure accurate billing, collections, and record-keeping while providing excellent customer service to patients and our clients.
Duties
- Utilizes the Epic Professional Billing System to review and monitor patient accounts through the Accounts work queues.
- Reviews the entire account to ensure claims were billed properly, payments were applied correctly, and all necessary adjustments were made before approving balance for statements.
- Posts patient payments into the Epic system.
- Responds to patient inquiries, both via phone and email, regarding outstanding balances.
- Conducts outgoing pre-collection calls to patients or guarantors regarding outstanding balances
- Provides requested information for third party liability claims.
- Reviews patient credit balances and process refunds when applicable

Preferred Qualifications
- Epic experience a plus but not required
- At least two (2) years Accounts Receivable experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
