Description:
The Patient Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patient appointments (surgical, diagnostic therapy and other procedures/treatments). The Patient Scheduler obtains and verifies necessary demographic and insurance information. The Patient Scheduler registers patients and enters data into scheduling systems. The Patient Scheduler maintains records and accounts. The Patient Scheduler provides professional customer service. The Patient Scheduler serves patients by greeting and helping them. The Patient Scheduler leads and trains other schedulers and acts as a resource. Estimated pay range for this position is $19.73 - $23.87 / hour depending on experience.
Qualifications:
Degrees:
- High School Diploma, Certificate of Completion, GED,or equivalent training or experience required.
Additional Qualifications:
- Minimum required experience 5 years
- Experience in Healthcare and/or Customer Service setting, Surgery preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Scheduling Systems (i.e.Net Access, Centricity, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling, Chartlinks etc.).
- Medical Terminology required
- Experience with high volume calls
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
