POSITION SUMMARY
This Medical Records Clerk position is with the Trial Team. As part of our Trial Team, this position will support our firm wide success, by making sure each case gets the attention required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Compile, manage, & maintain patient records/information
- Manage patient insurance verification, authorization, billing, & payment of accounts
- Process all requests for health information and ensure compliance with all guidance. Enter tracking information for all requests in automated system. Locate requested information, duplicate information using scanner or copier
- Patient Billing Experience
- Have a close attention to detail
- Able to learn new software systems quickly
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with medical records, preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Energetic, hands-on, self-starter who can succeed with minimal supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Prior experience with Smart Advocate, Filevine, Lead Docket, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
