Join our team as a Meaningful Day Direct Support Professional (DSP) and play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities as they pursue their personal goals within the community. This part-time position focuses on day shift hours, Monday through Friday, offering a fulfilling and consistent schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport individuals into the community to help them achieve their personal and developmental goals.
- Encourage and assist individuals in participating in a variety of activities based on their interests.
- Provide instruction and guidance in self-help skills, social skills, and community integration.
- Support individuals in making informed choices, trying new experiences, developing meaningful relationships, and becoming self-advocates.
- Empowerment & Advocacy
- Promote independence by exploring new ideas and opportunities for skill-building.
- Empower individuals to make decisions and uphold their rights and dignity.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Must have a personal vehicle for transporting individuals (mileage reimbursement provided)
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Current liability insurance
Certification in medication administration, First Aid, and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
Clear criminal background and other checks per state regulations
Ability to understand, follow, and convey instructions in English
Prior experience preferred—but we will train the right candidates!
